UPB mission statement

We strive to provide you, the client, with the best quality hand-reared pet parrot available. We do this by providing the parent birds with the best environment possible to live in, the best fresh foods and pellets to eat and the most stress free life possible. All our baby birds are raised with their siblings, fully socialised with adults, children and animals. We stay in touch with clients for as long as they deem fit. We offer 24/7, lifetime support by email and telephone, as well as our exclusive web based forum. All our babies are bred by us, raised by us, and sold by us. We do not supply pet shops or other hand rearers

All About UPB

We are located all over England and between us we breed African Grey Parrots, Timneh Grey Parrots, Hawk-headed Parrots, Hahn's Macaws, Blue Headed Pionus, Black Headed Caiques, Maximillian Pionus, Senegal Parrots. As several of us breed the same species of parrot, so we usually have baby parrots available year round. All our baby parrots are hand-reared in our own homes and are used to household noises such as children, dogs, vacuums and TV.  They are all fully weaned and are fed a diet of pellets, supplemented with fruit and vegetables. None of our babies leave our homes before we are 100% sure they are fully weaned and ready to join their new families.

All the members of UPB put the welfare of their breeding stock first. We all believe that the end result is directly connected to the first step. For this reason all our breeding stock is fed the best quality feeds available, all birds are housed in hygienic, spacious, purpose built cages and aviaries. Our breeding is all free breeding, that is to say if they want to breed, they can do. If they don't want to breed, they are not forced into it. They are also not "sold on" if they fail to breed. Several of us have birds who have never bred but they still remain with us. Eventually they may breed, but if they don't they will spend the rest of their lives with us.

We are located Warrington, Derby and have supplied parrots all over the UK from Wick in Northern Scotland to Dover in Southern England,  Dublin in Southern Ireland to Pwllheli in North Wales. When people are willing to travel so far and at so much expense, they know they are getting a parrot worth it!
